Miss A Pool - Buttermere 2022 - 2023

Miss Pool

Welcome to Buttermere.

In Buttermere we have twenty-seven energetic, enthusiastic and happy year 3/4 learners. As we move into Spring 2 we are looking forward to Easter as well as lots of new learning.

We are writing to entertain in English with our work inspired by 'The BFG'. We are focusing on our writing to create a diary entry, recounting the events in the story and writing a character description as well as thinking about the thoughts and feelings of our characters. Our maths lessons are based around fractions moving onto decimals. This half term we are learning about the Anglo-Saxons, following on nicely from our work last half term to continue our journey through British history. In P.E. this half term we are completing our swimming block. Science is all about animals including humans and we will be focusing on healthy eating, skeletons and muscles.

Homework will be set on a Friday and will need to be submitted by the following Friday. Links to all homework will be sent through Seesaw. Homework will include:

  • A Seesaw task linked to our current learning
  • Reading at least three times a week
  • Learning weekly spellings on Spelling Shed
  • Times Table Rockstars

Regular photographs will be uploaded to this page so as you can enjoy seeing what we are getting up to. To view more than the three most recent galleries, click on, "View All Gallery Items."

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to get in touch. I am on the front yard most mornings and afternoons and I can be contacted via the Seesaw family app.
