Geography 2019 - 2020

Mr Carruthers

Welcome to the Geography page.  At St James', being a geographer means combining a lot of different skills.  We study locations and their characterisitics.  We look at the similarities and differences between places, regions, and countries.  We learn about human and physical geography and the wider implications of each.  We also undertake fieldwork and other physical geographical skills.

Below, you will find a huge collection of all our work.  Hopefully you will find various different areas of learning that may interest you.  All of our learning in the wider curriculum is taught in the afternoons, although we often cross over our learning from literacy and numeracy, to help us with the wider curriculum and we base each half-term on a different theme.  Although each theme is different, all of the subjects from the wider curriculum are included, at different times. The themes are exciting and varied; we always do something special in every topic which takes us far from school, to get real experience of the skills we have learned.
