The explosion of the love of God.

Class: Miss A Pool - Buttermere Year: 2019 - 2020

We completed a piece of artwork to show the trinity. We looked at and explored a stained-glass window by Joseph Nuttgens that was full of symbolism. We used L2L to think, pair and share our ideas. We had some fantastic discussions and used previous learning to support our ideas. Links were made to the Genesis story, Noah and the trinity.
Here are some of the children's responses;

Lexi - I think the white represents blank, starting again, like a fresh start just like in a baptism when people wear white.
Keir - the purple in the triangle might represent God's love.
Noah - the blue might be a sign of the flood God sent.
Eva - the green represents the land God created.
Abby - blue could be the water and the sky and the white could be the Holy Spirit - water.
Theo - the triangle could be God spreading his love to the whole world.

Charlotte - the black lines could be day/night.
Lexi - the black lines look like ladders you climb through life. Jesus and God guide you onto the right path.
Joe - the yellow could be sunbeams also Jesus is the light of the world.
Jack B - My triangle represents heaven, because heaven is colourful.
