Sea bin official opening

Lesson: Understanding the World

Class: Mr Tyson - Ennerdale Year: 2019 - 2020

Today, class two attended the official opening of Whitehaven’s sea bin. The sea bin was brought to Whitehaven by WHYP and was heavily funded by The CO-OP store. The sea bin sucks in any rubbish, including fuel and oil, in order to keep the water in the marina as clean as possible. WHYP hope to add five more sea bins to the marina over the coming years. This sea bin is one of the first in the country and was a fitting end to our under the sea topic.
