Science - How are fossils formed?

Lesson: Science

Class: Mrs Pickering - Bassenthwaite Year: 2020 - 2021

Today in science we were learning all about fossils, we spent time discussing what a fossil is. Some of the children enjoyed sharing when and where they had found fossils. We discussed how fossils are formed and enjoyed looking at different examples of fossils, thinking about the changes that had occurred during fossilisation.
Then we had a go at making our own fossils using clay and plants or sticks that we found outside in the playground.
