Plastic Pollution Bake Sale

Class: PSHE Year: 2019 - 2020

A huge thank you for all of your support this week in running our school bake sale. The brief sent out to parents was to bake over the weekend and bring in selections of cakes and biscuits. The importance of the treats being 'homemade' and not bought from shops and covered in plastic was really important to the children.  On Monday morning I was taken aback by the sheer amount of effort shown by the community  and we were forced to  extended the bake sale over 3 days, including an impromptu parent drop-in after school for parents to sample some cake and tea and see some of the fantastic projects the children had completed over the last 3 weeks.

It is great to announce that we raised a staggering total of £318 that will be converted to Euros and sent out to 'The Ocean Clean Up' who are based in the Netherlands along with a letter from me detailing how the children (and families) from St James have a real passion for cleaning up our Oceans.

A huge thank you once again
