Class 6 - music

Class: Miss A Pool - Buttermere Year: 2019 - 2020

On Friday class 6 enjoyed a musical afternoon. We looked at the key vocabulary for the unit and then had a class quiz on them. The children were very competitive. We focused on pulse, timbre, rhythm, tempo, pitch and texture. By the end of the session the children understood these musical terms.

We explored the song ‘a wave went up my nose’ the children tapped along to the pulse and explored the pitch. They all said it was high. We also looked st songs related to water and the weather.

The children had a fun afternoon and some even added expressive dance moves to the music.
