Class 3 - Music - Delia Derbyshire

Class: Miss L Pool - Windermere Year: 2019 - 2020

This week we started our new music theme. Over the next few weeks we will be exploring a piece of music by a composer called Delia Derbyshire. Today we read a bit of background knowledge on Delia, shared key vocabulary and listened to the Doctor theme. Most of the children recognised it!

Listening task - We listened to the full orchestra performance and identified the pounding bass line and swooping melody. We then visually represented this on our whiteboards. 

Found sounds - we ended the lesson by creating our own piece of music using found sounds. We made sure there was a pounding bass as well as another sound.
