Bible challenge

Lesson: Religious education

Class: Church Links & RE Year: 2017 - 2018

This year we are taking part in the first Cumbria Bible Challenge. The aim of the challenge is to encourage children to explore and respond to the Gospel of Luke.

This week the children looked at the first two challenges, finding Jesus and finding faith. They used their Bibles to look up passages from Luke and reflect on them. They also listened to 2 testimonies; one from the Bishop Robert of Penrith and how he came to find Jesus, and one from Bear Grylls on how he found his faith. After completing these challenges the children put a sticker on their challenge card. I was really impressed with how the children responded to the challenge.
